Caterpillar Room (2-3 Years)

At this age, children are becoming more confident and secure in their emotional and social development. Practitioners that are kind, caring and nurturing support the children to enhance their physical skills and encourage them to become confident learners. We support children to develop these skills by offering them a wide range of fun, play based activities for them to choose from.

Our play based curriculm supports their individual learning needs and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculm. Our staff follow the children’s interests to create exciting opportunities suited to their emerging needs and interests.

As well as developing their learning and key skills, we support their individual care needs to prepare them for their future of pre-school and the move into primary education. We work in close partnership with our parents/carers to build a trusting relationship with each child and their wider family.

Butterfly Room

At this age, children are now becoming confident explorers and we aim to enhance their learning in more specific areas.
Children have opportunities to develop mathematical skills, Literacy, become more creative and understand the world around them. This is a very exciting time for children and we support them to reach their full potential by offering appropriate challenge and encourage them to develop their own thinking skills. Children are encouraged to be as independent as possible to support their transition into school and so they are well-equipped with the skills to help them progress through life.
